What is it

The face is undoubtedly the most important anatomical unit for female and male beauty. The skin, especially in younger ages, has mechanisms for repairing cell damage and producing skin collagen, leading to healthy and radiant skin.

However, various external factors such as sunlight, diet or age inhibit the normal functions of the skin and lead to dry and aged skin. The art of facial rejuvenation has been practiced since ancient cultures and is of great interest today. There are various methods and treatments that aim to rejuvenate the face and work by removing dead cells and promoting collagenogenesis.

Facial cleansing is one of the most common and basic treatments applied in Aesthetic Medicine and is essential for healthy looking skin. Facial cleansing removes dead cells and sebum from the skin, and combats oiliness and shine. Facial cleansing should not be done only when there is a serious problem in the skin, because then the treatment is not as effective. Every person should incorporate facial cleansing into their daily routine both by simply doing it at home, as well as at specialized dermatologists who offer deep cleansing. Deep cleansing should be done depending on the skin type 2-4 times a year. It is definitely imposed after the summer, when the skin is damaged by the intense sunlight, because sun, oil and dirt clog the pores, while many sunscreens aggravate the situation. Thus, in early autumn the skin becomes dehydrated and pimples and blackheads become more pronounced.

State-of-the-art equipment

Deep yet gentle dermatological cleansing is achieved using the latest generation Smart Peel system. The Diamond head equipped with it, shoots out thousands of micro-crystals which deeply cleanse the skin removing dead cells and blackheads and reducing open pores. On contact with the skin, the microcrystals remove keratinized cells, dirt and sebum, leaving the skin clean. With the Facial Microdermabrasion method, specialized skin cells called fibroblasts are mobilized and produce new collagen and elastin, ingredients essential for skin youthfulness. Dermabrasion treatment has two parts: the part of exfoliation with a special material (microcrystals or diamond flakes) and the part of suction of dead skin cells.

At Cosmetic Derma Medicine, as a specialized Dermatology and Plastic Surgery clinic, the Facial Microdermabrasion treatment is applied with the power of Microcrystals (microdermabrasion) or Diamond, depending on your skin’s needs, restoring its natural balance and leaving it softer than ever. Facial Microdermabrasion is a simple and quick facial treatment that has immediate and visible results.

How it is performed

  • 1 – Mild dermabrasion

With the help of Microcrystals (microdermabrasion) or Diamond, dead cells are removed from the surface layers of the skin.

  • 2 – Seed extraction

The sebum is removed painlessly, under aseptic conditions, using special medical tools.

  • 3 – Deep Hydration

The skin is moisturized with the use of special restorative products.

Areas of Application

The most common areas where Facial Cleansing and Microdermabrasion Scrub is applied are:

  • Face
  • Neck
  • Décolleté
  • Back
  • Arms
  • Fine Lines, Wrinkles & Spots
  • Acne Scars

Facial Microdermabrasion treatment primarily fights “time marks” and scars caused by photo-aging. It also fights fine lines and wrinkles.

For this reason, it is indicated for older people, where the signs of time are indelible. This does not mean that it cannot be applied to young skin for deep cleansing, facial exfoliation and treatment of acne scars. It is also particularly effective in cases of cystic acne.

The results of the treatment are immediately visible from the very first session, with your skin looking brighter and smoother. It is recommended to be done 3-4 times a year.

With the Facial Cleansing and Microdermabrasion, a total skin regeneration and rejuvenation is achieved in depth, while carrying out:

  • Deep medical cleansing of the face, chest or back
  • Exfoliation and removal of dead skin cells
  • Smoothing and improvement of skin texture
  • Brightening and reduction of spots
  • Elimination of oiliness
  • Smoothing of wrinkles and fine lines
  • Reduction of acne scars
  • Regeneration and tightening by creating new collagen in the skin
  • Improve lymph flow and reduce puffiness and under-eye circles

Microdermabrasion is also used to improve the appearance of facial skin that has been scarred by accidents or surgery. This is aided by Dermabrasion’s ability to target specific areas of the face without affecting the surrounding healthy skin.
