Dermatologist – Venereologist Dr. Polytimi Sidiropoulou

Dr. Polytimi Sidiropoulou is a board-certified Dermatologist-Venereologist, graduated from the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with many years of experience in the field of dermatology and related research.

After her rural medical service, she was trained in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Zante and then completed her residency at the “A. Sygros” Hospital for Skin and Venereal Diseases, where she specialized in Clinical and Interventional Dermatology, Venereology, Dermoscopy, and Pediatric Dermatology.

During her training, she was selected by the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) for specialized training in clinical research and epidemiology in the Netherlands. She also represented Greece at the “Euroderm Excellence Program” in Italy, an exclusive forum for Europe’s leading dermatologists.

Throughout her career, she has worked in private dermatological practices and clinics and has been involved in healthcare surveillance and medical education. Currently, she collaborates with the Cosmetic Derma Medicine clinics, further enriching her special interest in Aesthetic Dermatology.

Dermatologist – Venereologist Dr. Polytimi Sidiropoulou

Dr. Sidiropoulou has also been actively involved in dermatological research in both Greece and Germany. She is a PhD candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), where she is conducting her dissertation titled “Genetic Contribution of Vitamin D in the Manifestation of Vitiligo and Psoriasis” at the “A. Sygros” Hospital in collaboration with the Department of Pharmacy of NKUA.

As part of her research path, she enriched her skills through an EADV Research Fellowship Scholarship at the Charité University Hospital in Berlin, where she worked as a research associate at the Clinical Research Center for Hair and Skin Science, focusing on the application of nanomedicines in experimental models of psoriatic human skin.

Dr. Sidiropoulou has published more than 30 articles in international medical journals and has contributed chapters to international scientific textbooks. In addition, she serves as a peer reviewer for prestigious journals such as JEADV, JEACP, and CED.

Furthermore, she maintains an active participation in international and national scientific congresses with presentations and lectures, and has been thrice awarded first prizes for her research work.

Dr. Polytimi Sidiropoulou is a member of prominent scientific societies, including the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV), the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR), the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology (EDAE), the Hellenic Society of Pharmacogenomics & Personalized Diagnosis and Therapy (EEFARM), as well as the Medical Associations of Athens and Piraeus.
