Dermatologist – Venereologist Dr. Dimitra Zafeiratou

Dr. Dimitra Zafeiratou is a Dermatologist – Venereologist who graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2010 with a grade of “Very Good” and obtained her medical specialty title in Dermatology – Venereology in 2024. She worked as a resident doctor in Dermatology – Venereology at Andreas Syggros Hospital from 2020 to 2024. Previously, she was responsible for laser treatments, aesthetic applications, and injectable therapies at Cosmetic Derma Medicine – Advanced Hair Clinics (2013-2019). She also served as the head physician for laser applications at MediPRINOU and DNA (2012), a resident in Internal Medicine at Lixouri General Hospital (2011-2012), and completed her rural medical service at the Karavados Rural Clinic, serving the Vlakhata community, while simultaneously being on duty at the Microbiology – Biopathology Laboratory of Kefalonia General Hospital.

She has attended specialized training programs, including the Pediatric Dermatology Course (EADV, Barcelona, 2024), the Diploma in Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM, London, 2017), and the Certificate in Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM, London, 2016). Additionally, she has specialized in the management of bullous diseases at Andreas Syggros Hospital. She is fluent in English (Certificate of Proficiency in English, Cambridge & Michigan) and French (DELF 2ème degré).

She has published scientific papers, including “Recent Advances in Gonococcal Infection” in the Hellenic Dermatology – Venereology Review and “Total Regrowth in Chronic Severe Alopecia Areata Treated with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)” in Hair Transplant Forum International.

Furthermore, she serves as a peer reviewer for international journals such as the International Journal of Medical and Pharmaceutical Case Reports and the Journal of Pharmaceutical Research International.

She has participated in numerous scientific conferences and seminars and has presented research at both international and national conferences, including the 73rd International Congress of the American Academy of Dermatology (2015, San Francisco) and the EADV Spring Symposium (2024, Malta).

She is an active member of the Athens Medical Association (ISA), the General Medical Council (GMC) of the UK, the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), the Hellenic Society of Dermatology and Venereology (EDAΕ), and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV).
