                   <h2 class=\"dp-margin-bottom--s\">\n                    Classical Surgical Procedure                <\/h2>\n                                            \n                <div class=\"dp-owl--s\">\n                    <div><p><strong>There are many surgical variations of abdominoplasty, but all of them have three common goals:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strengthening the abdominal wall and repairing any blemishes that may coexist (e.g. umbilical hernias).<\/li>\n<li>The removal of loose skin and excess fat in the lower abdomen (submandibular dermolipectomy).<\/li>\n<li>The treatment of any malformations, scars and striae<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The abdominoplasty procedure is performed under general anesthesia while the patient is in a supine position with the thighs bent at 45\u00b0. A suprapubic incision is made at exactly the same height as the cesarean incision, but extending over a longer length than the cesarean incision. The skin with the subcutaneous fat is then detached, pulled downwards and the excess is excised and removed. The navel is prepared in a new position. During this operation, the abdominal wall is strengthened by suturing the rectus abdominis muscles to the midline of the abdomen and plastering possible navel patches (umbilical hernia) or white line patches. The best candidates are men and women without serious health problems and without a serious obesity problem but who have sagging and excess skin in the abdominal area. Abdominoplasty is not a weight loss method and should always be combined with a proper diet and exercise program in order to maintain a good result. Sagging from pregnancies or losing a lot of weight, distension of the rectus abdominis muscles and the presence of stretch marks combined with sagging skin under the navel are the main indications for abdominoplasty.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n                            \n            <\/li>\n                \n        \n                \n            <li class=\"dp-text-cards__card dp-border--beige dp-flex--col\">\n                \n                                <h3 \n                    class=\"dp-text-cards__heading dp-text--center dp-bg--beige dp-padding--s\">\n                    Postoperative course                <\/h3>\n                                \n                                <div class=\"dp-text-cards__text dp-padding--s\">\n                    <p>The first change of the wound takes place after 48 hours, when the drain is removed. The patient is fully mobilized within the next 48 hours, wearing the corset and can return home immediately. The stitches are cut 15 days after the operation, and the scar overlying the wound is very thin, resembling the scar of a caesarean section and completely hidden by the underwear.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n                            \n            <\/li>\n                \n        \n                \n            <li class=\"dp-text-cards__card dp-border--beige dp-flex--col\">\n                \n                                <h3 \n                    class=\"dp-text-cards__heading dp-text--center dp-bg--beige dp-padding--s\">\n                    Complications                <\/h3>\n                                \n                                <div class=\"dp-text-cards__text dp-padding--s\">\n                    <p>In general, there are no complications, as long as the manipulations and the procedure are performed by an experienced plastic surgeon.
