Mesotherapy is a technique that involves the injection of certain substances underneath the dermal layer of the skin.
Its application includes, among others, the face (face mesotherapy) and is used to correct various skin problems.
Cosmetic Derma Medicine employs two types of the technique; the injectable mesotherapy by which the essential substances are injected via a very fine needle in the entire surface of the face, and the injection-free mesotherapy which utilizes a special device, called Dermapen. The Dermapen device is used to create small channels on the surface of the epidermis, through which mesotherapy solutions reach the required depth.
Face mesotherapy is also divided into simple face mesotherapy (involving vitamin or hyaluronic acid solutions) and autologous PRP face mesotherapy, where instead of an exogenous solution, we use rich platelet plasma collected after taking a blood sample from the patient.
Application of a local anesthetic cream may optionally, precede treatment to reduce the pain of the needle prick. The needles penetrate the skin at a small depth (1–3 mm), and the number of injections varies depending on the therapy.
The aim of face mesotherapy is to transfer certain substances such as hyaluronic acid, vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, sodium pyruvate, glucose, etc, in the area selected underneath the dermal layer of the skin. These substances contribute to anti-aging, retain water under our skin and maintain it fresh, hydrated and youthful.
Face mesotherapy is indicated as treatment for dehydration, skin laxity/loss of firmness, prolonged sun exposure/photo-aging, etc.
Mesotherapy effects:Deep hydration Anti-aging with fine line reduction Prevention of new wrinkle formation Improvement of dark circles and eye wrinkles Bright and healthy-looking skin Mild firming action with special firming solutions
Mesotherapy is a simple, fast (each session lasts approximately 20 to 30 minutes), side-effect free, and relatively painless therapy. After treatment a mild irritation might appear on the skin, which will subside within the next hours. No special post-treatment care is required and thus, one can return to his/her daily activities immediately after treatment with no limitations.
The results are immediately evident, even after the first session: your skin tone and texture will be noticeably improved. The desired cosmetic result is additively achieved, thus 4 to 6 sessions are usually required administered at 15 to 20-day intervals. In order for the face to maintain a fresh and rejuvenated appearance, after the initial 3-month treatment period, the patient may be switched to maintenance treatment, where the interval between treatments is increased to 2 to 6 months.
Mesotherapy can be applied on the face, around the eyes, neck, décolletage and hands.
